BARCA NOT PLANNING BID FOR POG... THIS SUMMER

SPANISH GIANTS SAY THEY WON’T MOVE FOR UNITED ACE ... FOR NOW ANYWAY!

BARCELONA director Ariedo Braida does not expect the La Liga club to try to sign United midfielder Paul Pogba this month.

The France international has been linked with a move to the Spanish giants, with reports claiming they offered United £45m plus Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes to land him before deadline day on August 9.

With the Spanish transfer window still open, there is still speculation Barca could come back with an improved offer with president Joep Maria Bartomeu leaving the door open for a potential transfer.

Despite reports in Spain claiming they will attempt to land the 25-year-old before the Spanish window closes on August 31, Braida has suggested otherwise.

“I don’t think we’re going to move for Pogba, but he’s a great player,” he said to Radio Sportiva.

Speculation about Pogba’s United future mounted over the summer amid reports his agent, Mino Raiola, is offering him to top European clubs due to his strained relationship with Jose Mourinho.

And the World Cup winner did little to quell rumours he is unhappy at the club after the win against Leicester on Friday.

He was asked by reporters following the opening game of the season if he was happy at the club, to which he replied: “There are things and there are things I cannot say otherwise I will get fined.

“I always give my best for the fans, for the team-mates and for the people that trust me,” he added.
