Wedding bells for Ryan and Lucy?

-

CELEBRITY Big Brother contestant Ryan Thomas has opened up for the first time about his relationship with reality TV star and fitness guru Lucy Mecklenburgh – and he’s teased that there could be wedding bells ahead.

Former Corrie actor Ryan and ex-TOWIE star Lucy have been dating since April last year after meeting on Channel 4 Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls.

Speaking in this week’s issue of OK! Magazine, loved-up Ryan says he had his eye on Lucy for three years since seeing her on the cover of FHM years before.

Their relationship began as ‘banter’ as they turned to each other for comfort while filming the survival show on a remote island but he found himself saying the word ‘love’ straight away after falling for the brunette beauty.

Ryan, who has a nine-year-old daughter, Scarlett, with his ex Tina O’Brien [Sarah Platt in Corrie], says the smitten couple would have a lavish wedding.

It would be even bigger than his fellow actor brother Adam’s nuptials when he said ‘I do’ with sweetheart Caroline Daly at plush Delamere Manor, the former home of Take That hunk Gary Barlow in Cheshire, last September.

He says: “We’ll have a massive wedding. It would be huge and one big party. It would be bigger than my brother Adam’s!”

Ryan, from Salford, played Jason Grimshaw in Corrie from 2000 to 2016 and earlier this year featured as mysterious backpacker Rafael Humphreys in Neighbours.

His brother Adam, 30, played Adam Barton in Emmerdale and Adam’s twin Scott was a contestant on Love Island in 2016.

Speaking about his decision to appear on CBB, with housemates including former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett, from Cheshire, he said: “I’m doing Celebrity Big Brother for a new challenge, new experiences and hopefully for people to see the real me.”
