Identical twins seeing double!
IDENTICAL twins Hannah and Lucy O’Donnell scooped identical results after two years of hard work.
The talented Timperley twins, who attend Loreto Grammar School, each got an A* in psychology with A grades in biology and history.
The pair say studying together has been the secret to their academic success.
But Hannah and Lucy are now set to pursue separate academic paths as they head to universities at opposite ends of the country.
Hannah will take a place at the University of Newcastle while her sister will study at Bristol.
“There is absolutely no sibling rivalry – after all, we are a team,” said Hannah. It will be hard to be separated as I am going to Newcastle and Lucy is going to Bristol.”
Lucy added: “We share the same friends, both play the piano and enjoy lacrosse. We do everything together. At least there is a plane that flies direct between the cities for when we just can’t bear it any longer.”
More than 75 per cent of all grades at Loreto were at A* to B with at least 40pc at either A* or A.
Jane Beever, Loreto Grammar School headteacher, said: “Colleagues and students have embraced the necessary changes associated with the new linear style of assessment and the more rigorous curriculum and worked tirelessly to achieve these superb results.
“There are no ifs or buts or maybes at Loreto, it’s simply hard work if you want to succeed.”
