/A choice of trips to Iceland

-

A BUDGET airline has announced a programme of trips to Iceland - with flights starting at £169 return.

Jet2.com are giving passengers the choice of either a three-night midweek or fourweek weekend trip to the magical country of tiny horses, huge whales and viking history.

Once in Iceland, travellers can choose what they want to explore. They may want to check out the capital city of Reykjavik, try and spot the Northerns or take a tour around the Golden Circle - a haven of geothermal lagoons, spas, waterfalls and geysers.

Or there might even be time to take on some more independent travel further afield, along the southern coast to Vik and a glacier tour. Or to the west where the dramatic coastline awaits.

Customers can take their pick from flight-only or package holiday options flying from Manchester Airport.

Flight-only deals start from £169 return and package options with Jet2CityBreaks begin at £579, secured now for a £60 deposit.

Package breaks with Jet2CityBreaks include a guided Northern Lights Tour, flights with Jet2.com including 22kg hold luggage and transfers to and from the airport.

There is a choice of three or four star hotels in central Reykjavik, and you can buy excursions to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon.

Alternatively, you could take the flight-only option and hire a car to take on your own tour.

All lfights to Keflavik International Airport near Reykjavik will be operated by Jet2.com on Boeing 787-800 aircraft.

The four-night trip weekend trip will run on February 28 March 4. The three-night midweek break is on March 4-7.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Iceland is a destination that is rapidly growing in popularity thanks to its abundance of natural wonders, such as the Northern Lights, Golden Circle an Blue Lagoon. As well as geothermal spas, geysers, natural parks and the incredible Aurora Borealis, Iceland also offers the ultimate city break destination in stylish Reykjavik, which is the world’s northernmost capital.”
