Ammies hold on for point after Lloyd sees red in first half

TEN-MAN Salford City held on for a point as they drew 0-0 at bottom-of-the-table Dagenham and Redbridge in the National League.

The Ammies, who had taken 10 points from their previous four matches, had to play the whole of the second half one man down after Danny Lloyd was shown a second yellow card in the 42nd minute.

Top scorer Adam Rooney had a first-half effort ruled out for off-side and another cleared off the line.

Salford continued to create chances after the break despite being down to 10 men, with Tom Walker firing over before Rooney was denied by a brilliant save.
