Michelle is a real sweetie

EX-CORRIE STAR SPOTTED ON NQ SHOPPING MISSION

-

MICHELLE Keegan looked super-sweet as she rocked a colourful slogan T-shirt while shopping in Manchester. The Our Girl and ex-Coronation Street star stepped out in a cute Chupa Chups cropped top revealing her toned midriff as she enjoyed a spot of retail therapy at Afflecks – and she was all smiles as she stopped to pose for a photo with Steve McCarthy from Palace Barbers at the Northern Quarter shopping emporium, which has previously welcomed Lady Gaga.

Irlam-raised Michelle, who played tragic barmaid Tina McIntyre in Corrie from 2008 to 2014 and stars as plucky medic Georgie Lane in the BBC One army drama Our Girl – filmed in South Africa and Malaysia – is back up north to film the new Sky One drama Brassic.

Filmed in Manchester, Michelle, 31, plays Erin in the show which follows a group of friends created by This Is England actor Joe Gilgun and Shameless, Ordinary Lies and Clocking Off writer Danny Brocklehurst.

Michelle, who is married to former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright – who now presents US entertainment show Extra – will be on our screens in Brassic next year.

Sharing a photo from the readthrough on her Instagram she said: “Here we go...onto my next adventure. @skyone #brassic #readthrough #excited.”

The actress will soon be seen returning to her Salfordian roots playing Demi in her first film – Strangeways Here We Come.

Set in Salford and named after The Smiths’ final album, Michelle’s character is one of a group of neighbours who decide to bump off a loan shark after their debts spiral out of control.

The ‘we-dunnit’ film has been likened to a cross between the Manchester drama Shameless and Danny Boyle’s dark comedy film Shallow Grave. It opens in cinemas on Friday, October 5.
