NEW signing Diogo Dalot has declared himself ready to finally make his United debut.

The 19-year-old, who joined from Porto in the summer, has been recovering from minor knee surgery.

Dalot (pictured) impressed in the Under-23s’ 1-0 victory against Stoke in Premier League 2 last week and despite having ice strapped to his knee, he now insists he is ready to make his full debut after the international break.

“If the manager thinks I’m ready and he wants me to play, I will play, for sure,” Dalot told ESPN FC. “As soon as he wants me, I’ll be ready.

“It has not been easy, but I’m very happy. My body is responding well.”

Meanwhile, United supporters group MUST have called on Sky and the Premier League to compensate fans after the Reds’ match with Everton was moved.

Because Tottenham had to change their game with City from Sunday, October 28, to the following day so they could play it at Wembley because of problems with their new stadium, United’s match has been put back 24 hours to fill the Sunday TV slot vacated by the Spurs switch.

That has angered MUST, who have called it ‘naked commercial opportunism’.

In a statement, they said: “Changing the date of the Everton fixture from its previously confirmed TV slot on Saturday 27th October to their now vacated Sunday afternoon slot is nothing short of naked commercial opportunism at the expense of match-going fans.

“The decision shows no regard for the many supporters who have made non-refundable travel arrangements following publication, on 7th August, of the confirmed October fixtures after changes for TV. We call on Sky and the Premier League to commit to full financial compensation for any financial loss or additional costs incurred by supporters of both teams.

“We are seeking urgent dialogue with the broadcasters and the Premier League to establish new principles and processes to take proactive account of match-going supporters to prevent any recurrence.

“We are also in conversation with our own club to seek their support in these actions.”
