Pundit predicts Blues will be ‘embarrassed’ in bizarre rant

-

CITY may be favourites to win the Champions League this season but not everybody is convinced.

Pep Guardiola won his seventh league title in nine years as a manager as the Blues romped to the Premier League crown in recordbreaking style.

However, using an interesting interpretation of the coach’s philosophy, BBC pundit Mina Rzouki launched an extraordinary attack on the two-time Champions League winner and guaranteed City will be ‘embarrassed’ in the competition this season.

“There is one coach I cannot stand and that is Pep Guardiola ,” she said on BBC 5 Live’s Fighting Talk show.

“I hate a coach who comes and tells me that football should be played in a certain type of way, which is let’s rotate the ball until we are so exhausted and then perhaps we will try to score.

“This is a coach who is considered the best, right? Can I just tell you his away record in the Champions League? He’s won five out of 24 away matches in the Champions League and this is supposed to be the best coach who has the most amazing philosophy. Does he?!

“I don’t want to score 15,000 goals against Brighton and Hove, I want to win the big Champions League matches and not be embarrassed in the semi-final stage with the head of Bayern Munich.

“City got embarrassed last season in the Champions League and I guarantee they will do it again.”
