Katie turns heads with a hi-vis hairdo
FORMER Love Island star Katie Salmon certainly knows how to make an entrance. The reality show beauty made waves after arriving as a latecomer on the sun-soaked ITV2 dating show in 2016 – and she turned heads as she stepped out in Hale in a bright neon yellow wig.
Katie wowed in her long vibrant wig as she left luxury wig company Hair Arvina.
Her bold Kim Kardashian-esque look was complimented perfectly with a little black dress, towering heels and a clutch bag in the same shade as her new tresses. The Liverpudlian model’s outing came days after she spoke out about facing a backlash from the LGBT community following her bisexual romance on Love Island with the late Sophie Gradon, who died in June this year aged 32. The pair became the first same-sex couple on the show set in Mallorca. Katie, who came out as bisexual on the show, told the Victoria Derbyshire programme on BBC2 that she has been subjected to ‘biphobia’ with some of the most hurtful criticism coming from the LGBT community.
Brunette Katie, who sported a blonde look from Hair Arvina at The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward’s annual Creme de la Creme Ball on Saturday night, has since received a flood of support on social media and praise for speaking out during Bi Week.
One follower said: “Good you’re speaking out. We’ve been trying to raise this for ages now.”
Hair Arvina, which offers women a pre-party makeover, has previously attracted celebs including Ester Dee and Lauren Simon from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, and Big Brother stars Isabelle Warburton and Sallie Axl.
