Pogba has something to prove

-

PAUL Pogba starts today – no surprise there then!

The fact is, if Jose Mourinho hadn’t picked him at West Ham the abundantly clear message would have gone worldwide: Pogba is up for sale.

So the soap opera that is Old Trafford continues, with all eyes on how United’s £89m record signing fares today.

The truth is, I’m heartily sick and tired of Pogba’s antics AND Mourinho’s tactics – and I know for certain I’m not the only one who thinks it’s probably best if taxis are called for the pair of them.

I’m convinced neither of them have their heart in the club … and arguably both are looking to move, sooner rather than later.

We’ve a cheeky bet at Betfred proving we do have a sense of humour, despite the gloom following the morale-sapping midweek EFL Cup exit to Derby.

We were 50/1 that Pogba would score at the London Stadium and high five Mourinho. Well that’s 20/1 now after the embattled boss announced the French World Cup winner would be in the Reds line-up.

I do believe Pogba will have something to prove having been offered an olive branch, so Betfred have him 13/2 to score first, 5/2 to score anytime - and 10/1 he notches two or more.

Despite all the Jose v Pog publicity that’s got footie folk world wide talking, United are odds-on to win. I reckon it will be a fiery one for the man of the moment, who may well end up at Barcelona – or wherever – in January. Well, Betfred are 25/1 that Pogba is sent off against West Ham and 4/1 that he’s booked.
