Virtual shooting range offers the total package
BRAND NEW SIMULATION SHOOTING VENUE INCLUDES AN IMPRESSIVE COCKTAIL MENU
A BRAND new experience is coming to Manchester as Total Recoil opens its doors to the public for the first time.
The simulation shooting range – the first of its kind in the UK – will see users given imitation weapons and have to shoot targets on a huge screen, utilising the latest technology.
As well as the shooting ranges, there’s a fully-stocked bar with a seriously impressive cocktail menu, as well as freakshakes, tea and coffee, snacks and sharing plates.
Each booth is recommended for four people, and can be hired for one or two hours.
Players will each be given a ‘gun’ – a basic shotgun is the standard but upgrades are available – and will have more then 200 virtual programmes to work their way through.
Some games will see you inserted into a shooting range, while others will have you roaming around abandoned virtual buildings.
The new venue is located within the BEYOND development, which also includes the Chill Factore.
There’s the option to order a bucket of drinks on ice to your booth, and Total Recoil will be filling replica ammunition boxes with ice and beers to deliver to your table.
Each booth has its own standing table and bar stools, though there will be additional seating elsewhere in the venue.
Mini Vara, business development manager for Total Recoil, said: “Manchester will be our flagship site but we’re looking to spread all over the UK.
“We’ve got a portable format which is really popular for private events.
“Everyone seems to love it so far. It’s a lot like the old school arcade games, but it’s bigger and better. The screens are nine feet, the guns feel real – they’re weighted and kickback like a real gun.”
Mark Rushton is co-owner along with Phil Hale and said: “I’m a proud northerner with a love of shooting – it’s a really popular hobby, but there’s nothing virtual like this. “I can’t wait to open. The reaction that we’ve had from the demo sessions we’ve hosted has been amazing. “We’re aware of the sensitivity of guns and shooting – but this is a safe, family-friendly environment, and a lot of fun.” Total Recoil will open to the public on Saturday from noon. Opening hours will then be seven-days-a-week from 11am until midnight most days. Check totalrecoilshooting.co.uk for more Mini Vara, Total Recoil business development manager
