/Get up and go at new London hotel

-

A new hotel which has adopted the mantra ‘get up and go’ is set to open in London’s West End.

The team behind Assembly London say it has been designed to connect guests to the heart of the city and is ‘perfect for curious individuals seeking an adventure’.

Both Soho and Covent Garden are right on the doorstep, while Leicester Square and Charing Cross underground stations are less than a five-minute walk away.

Assembly’s team are also available to provide a ‘local’s’ guide to London, with insights on secret hang-outs, under-the-radar drinking dens and buzzy eating joints.

In its sound proofed bedrooms, the hotel has done away with what it calls ‘unnecessary amenities’ such as overpriced mini bars, bed-side telephones and oversized TVs, which it says are redundant in an age of streaming.

Designed by internationally renowned architects, Scott Brownrigg, each of the 121 guest bedrooms are inspired by the works of London’s iconic designers - Stella McCartney, Gareth Pugh and Alexander McQueen all of whom studied at London’s Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design.

And burrowed away in each room is a giant bunny wearing a provocative leather collar.

This summer, the hotel will also open its rooftop ‘sky hangout’, with floor to ceiling views over iconic city landmarks such as the London Eye and The Shard, ten floors up.
