Bowled over by a very different breakfast . . .
THERE are two sorts of morning plane passengers in this world – the ones who content themselves with a Pret porridge pot and a coffee, and the ones who go all in with a full English and a pint because your holiday starts now – even if now is 6am.
If you’re in the latter camp, you’ll love the latest addition to Manchester Airport.
A new pizzeria is opening at Terminal One this weekend, and its menu includes pizza breakfast bowls.
PizzaLuxe’s twist on a fry-up features pizza dough baked into a bowl shape and filled with a choice of full English, sausage or a veggie option.
Passengers can also order a full English on a traditional pizza base, while pizza purists can opt for more conventional toppings such as quattro formaggi; salami, portobello mushroom, fennel and chilli; and roasted aubergine, sunblush tomato, red onions, peppers, mushroom and feta.
PizzaLuxe opens on Friday, October 12, replacing The Pasty Shop.
The brand started out as a market stall in London’s Brick Lane and now has a site at Trinity Kitchen in Leeds.
It is now rolling out to airports and railway stations as part of a franchise deal with SSP, which operates restaurants and bars at transport hubs around the world including Manchester Airport.
Mike Ward, head of retail at Manchester Airport, said: “They’ve got a great menu and it will provide our passengers using Terminal 1 with an even greater choice of food options before they
fly.”
