Ammies aiming to stay at the summit

SALFORD City are looking to extend their 13-game unbeaten run in the Vanarama National League when they come up against Ebbsfleet United at the Peninsula Stadium this afternoon (3pm).

The Ammies are top of the National League – with just goal difference separating them from second-placed Wrexham – while Ebbsfleet are 17th in the table after just two wins in ten games.

Graham Alexander’s side overcame a potential scare in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round last weekend, beating Marine 2-1 to progress to the first round.

ALTRINCHAM come up against ASHTON UNITED in the Vanarama National League North, with both sides having been knocked out of the FA Cup last weekend.

The Robins, who are 15th in the table, suffered a 2-0 defeat at local rivals Stockport, while Ashton lost 2-1 at Southport.

STOCKPORT were rewarded with a trip to Yeovil Town in the FA Cup first round after the win against Altrincham, and they face Nuneaton Town this afternoon.

FC UNITED come up against Brackley Town at Broadhurst Park on the back of a brilliant 2-1 win at Kiddermins­ter in their last match. Jack Bannister scored both goals to secure a much-needed win.

CURZON ASHTON travel to Spennymoor Town having claimed a 2-1 win against Telford United in their last league game.
