Katie paints town pink
CORRIE actress Katie McGlynn looked pretty in pink as she showed off a new look on a night out with her castmates.
The blonde soap star sported shoulder-length pastel tresses as she attended the launch of Zaranda bar in West Didsbury.
Katie recently wore the bubblegum wig, from luxury wig company Hair Arvina in Hale, at the Emerald Ball held at the Hilton hotel in Deansgate, and the compliments came flooding in.
She told her fans on her Instagram page: “I want pink hair all day erryday.”
At Zaranda, named after an African village famed for its art and also a girl’s name meaning popularity as well a shaking device used in Spain, she looked super-stylish in a figure-hugging black dress and biker jacket.
Katie, from Rochdale, was unrecognisable from her Coronation Street character Sinead Tinker, who has been tugging at heartstrings on the soap after finding out she’s battling cervical cancer while pregnant.
Glam Katie was all smiles at the bar on Lapwing Lane alongside her co-stars Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster, Sue Cleaver who plays Eileen Grimshaw and Alexandra Mardell who plays Weatherfield’s bubbly newcomer Emma Brooker.
Brooke, from Audenshaw, has a lot to celebrate after launching her own business Oh So B, stylish planners featuring her own inspirational messages to help users to stay motivated and positive. As well as using them to stay organised and keep to appointments, there’s space for to-do lists and goals, inspired by her training for last year’s Dancing On Ice.
