Police arrest teenagers after guns and cocaine discovery
THREE teenagers were arrested after police discovered a haul of guns and drugs at a house.
Officers seized a revolver, two air rifles, an air pistol, a hunting knife, a ‘large electric probe’ and cocaine hidden inside a toy parrot after being called to a disturbance in Partington, Trafford on Saturday night.
Police were called at about 11.20pm after a member of the public reported hearing glass smashing and saw three youths banging on the door of a home.
One of the teenagers was waving what was believed to a handgun in the air before they went into the house.
Police went to the scene and found a revolver and an iPhone in a plant pot in the front garden and a rucksack containing an air pistol and pistol bag.
They also recovered two air rifles, a hunting knife, a large electric probe and a small quantity of suspected cocaine inside a toy parrot.
A 14-year-old and two 15-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms and have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Det Insp Simon Akker, of GMP’s Trafford division, said: ”We are appealing for anyone who may have seen these youths acting suspiciously on Cumberland Road on Saturday evening to come forward with information.”
Anyone with information, is asked to call Trafford police on 0161 856 0948.
