Tyson will be Wilder than ever!
I’LL be setting my alarm clock so I won’t miss any of the action from LA when Deontay Wilder takes on our own Tyson Fury.
Something obviously has to give with both unbeaten – and as the self-proclaimed Bonus King, I’m backing the Manchesterborn Gypsy King!
It’s not every day we get to watch two supremely confident heavyweights with perfect records and freakish physical attributes meet in the ring.
Wilder, the puncher, boasts an incredible record of 40-0-0, with 39 of those wins coming in the way of knockout.
A prominent criticism of the American, who stands at 6’ 7” with a reach of 83”, is that he’s ‘fought a bunch of bin men’ – but the power he possesses cannot be questioned.
Fury, the tactician, is a master of the sweet science. His record may hold less numbers (27-0-0) but undoubtedly features the bigger, better names – most notably Wladimir Klitschko who he famously gave a boxing masterclass in 2015 to become the unified heavyweight champion.
Wilder is the odds-on favourite at 4/7 with Betfred while our local hero is 6/4 with 20/1 for the draw. A Fury win on points is a tasty 23/10.
After a lacklustre showing against the Young Boys in the Champions League, United are now 250/1 at Betfred to win the Premier League title from 6/1 pre-season.
They were odds-on for a top four finish back in August but are now 4/1.
City are now 1/4 at Betfred to retain the title with Liverpool 4/1, Spurs 25/1, Chelsea 33/1 while Arsenal are 66/1 to be champions.
