Boy banned from going to park or having face covered

A TEENAGE boy has been banned from parts of Ashtonunde­r-Lyne.

Mikail Hussain, who is 15, was handed a year-long Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) by a judge.

It orders him to stay away from King George V Playing Fields, which has become a hotspot for anti-social behaviour.

He is also banned from a number of streets next to the park and cannot have his face covered up in public.

The CBO, which was issued following a hearing at Tameside magistrate­s court, also prohibits him from associatin­g with a number of other people.

Breaching the order criminal offence.

Officers with GMP’s Tameside North division shared the informatio­n on their Facebook page.

They wrote: “A judge has ruled that a teenage boy is banned from parts of Ashton-underLyne.

“Mikail Hussain, 15, was given is a a 12-month Criminal Behaviour Order on 27 November 2018 at Tameside magistrate­s court which bans him from King George V Playing Fields. “The order also bars him from the streets immediatel­y bordering the playing fields, namely Ladbroke Road, Union Road, Bengal Lane, Canterbury Street, Henrietta Street and Miller Street. “He is also prohibited him appearing in a public place without his full face being visible and from associatin­g with several other individual­s.” GMP Tameside North
