PSG will face United with ‘different playing style’ says Neymar

- By LIAM CORLESS

PARIS Saint-Germain star Neymar has reacted to Jose Mourinho’s sacking, suggesting United will be a different prospect in the Champions League last 16 with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge.

Mourinho was relieved of his duties on Tuesday morning with United 19 points off top spot in the Premier League after just 17 games.

Solskjaer was confirmed as Mourinho’s replacement 24 hours later, with the Norwegian taking charge on an interim basis until the end of the season before a longer-term appointment is made in the summer.

Club legend Solskjaer is best remembered by United fans for his decisive contribution to the club’s 1999 Champions League win and he’ll get the chance to manage them in the competition come February.

United were drawn to face French champions PSG in the last 16 of the European competition and Neymar believes the Reds will be a different proposition under caretaker boss Solskjaer.

“We know the quality that Manchester United have and we know that their players have a winning mentality,” Neymar said. “The coach has changed and it will be a different playing style - they’re in the process of changing things up - but we know the quality they have.

“I love the big matches and it’s always a pleasure to play in them. I’m very happy to be taking on Manchester United.”
