LIKE the old saying goes, money doesn’t necessarily buy you style.

But these Class of ‘92 legends can perhaps be excused for the classic fashion mishap of turning up to an event with the same outfit on.

Manchester United legends Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville were snapped together wearing a rather natty Christmas jumper featuring a polar bear with sunglasses – for a themed party at Manchester’s hottest new celebrity haunt The Ivy on Thursday evening.

They, along with Gary Neville, who opted for a more understated grey and white get up, all rocked the dad-look perfectly, enjoying a couple of hours on the venue’s roof garden with a few well-earned bevies.

It wasn’t their first visit – they surprised former manager Sir Alex Ferguson earlier this week, arriving at the restaurant before him and waiting inside to surprise him.

Sir Alex, who suffered a brain haemorrhage in May, arrived 10 minutes later for what he thought was a normal lunch to be surprised by some of his former players, according to onlookers.

Hours earlier they had played a football match on the top floor of Gary’s Hotel Football, in Old Trafford, where they had a rare visit from ex-teammate David Beckham.

On the same night Wayne and Coleen Rooney were also spotted at the swanky venue. The couple are back in the UK for Christmas following their summer move to the USA. They headed to The Ivy with Wayne’s agent Paul Stretford and his wife after previously being pictured enjoying a family meal in Alderley Edge.
