Plea to reunite missing people with their families

CHRISTMAS is a time for friends and family.

But for many, festive celebratio­ns will be tinged with sadness and unanswered questions. Working with Greater Manchester Police, the M.E.N. is sharing the stories of people who are missing. JAMES’ three children face another Christmas without their father this year. He was last seen wheeling a black handluggag­e bag towards Bolton town centre on August 3, 2016.

JACK, who was 69 when he went missing, was last seen at his home on Ings Lane in Spotland, Rochdale, at about 8am on Monday, February 8, 2016. He was last seen by his aunt outside a hostel on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter on August 31, 2008. She had dropped him off there. He was 16 at the time.

Jordan had a small rucksack with him containing just some biscuits and five pounds in cash when he was dropped off.

Police believe that he could be in the Rochdale area and are appealing to anyone with any informatio­n to come forward. POLICE are still appealing for help to find a Salford man who has not been seen since May.

The 48-year-old, from Eccles, was reported missing at the beginning of August, but his neighbours last saw him in May and have not heard from him since then.

His family appealed for help to find Peter alongside Greater Manchester Police.

Police said he is known to often walk around his local area, and searches have focused on Worsley Woods, Eccles and Prestwich. EMMA, 28, was last seen heading towards Bolton town centre from Breightmet on Monday, September 10, at around 9pm.

There has been no sighting of her since. Police have issued public appeals to help find her.

She is white, around 5ft 4ins and stocky. Emma has long brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a black jacket, a light pink kneelength dress, dark blue jeans and white trainers.
