Ederson Conceded penalties against Southampton and United. No major errors but no clean sheet in eight games now. 6 Aro Muric Two penalty saves in shootout win over Leicester and has looked calm and composed. 6 Kyle Walker Struggled since his return from the World Cup. Speed gets him out of tricky situations but has made errors, notably in conceding penalty against Palace. 5 Danilo Has become the forgotten man and not really posed a significant challenge to Walker. 5 John Stones Struggled in his defensive midfield role recently but has been a rock at the back, forming a formidable partnership with Aymeric Laporte. 7 Vincent Kompany Struggled with injuries, but remains a valuable option as he showed with a commanding display at Watford. 7 Aymeric Laporte No other outfield player has started 18 of City’s 19 Premier League games. Looking every inch a £57million defender. 9 Nicolas Otamendi Hasn’t been afraid to dish out the rough stuff this season and City conceded just once in his first eight games. Not as solid since. 6 Eric Garcia Handed a debut from the start in the Carabao Cup quarter-final at Leicester and impressed with his stylish passing. 6 Benjamin Mendy Started the season in fantastic form in both boxes, with five assists in his firstsix games. Had a shocker at Wembley and has been injured since November. 5 Fabian Delph Mendy’s injury has led to Delph filling in at left-back again but he’s looked vulnerable defensively. Made several errors in build-up to goals and sent off on Boxing Day. 5 Aleks Zinchenko Fernandinho Was already enjoying a good season but his stock has risen in his absence, with City beaten by Palace and Leicester. Continues to put in an immense workload. 8 Ilkay Gundogan The German has filled in for Fernandinho at times but he’s struggled to make the same impact. Better seen going forward, including the finishing touch for City’s 44-pass derby day goal. 6 Phil Foden Has signed a new long-term deal but still yet to make his first Premier League start. Eight league appearances as a substitute but did impress against Hoffenheim in the Champions League. 7 Bernardo Silva Influence has faded of late, but 17 league starts shows how much he’s been needed. Six goals and four assists shows his value. 8 David Silva The Spanish magician has been badly missed since his hamstring injury against Chelsea. Had been in wonderful form until then with eight goals and three assists and many memorable moments. 8 Kevin De Bruyne A stop-start season. Two knee injuries have kept him sidelined, but his Carabao Cup stunner was a reminder of what he can do. 6 Brahim Diaz A double in the Carabao Cup win over Fulham were Diaz’s first senior City goals but looks to be returning to Real Madrid in January. 6 Riyad Mahrez There have been glimpses of Mahrez’s quality since his arrival from Leicester City, but he’s yet to stamp his authority on this team. Seven goals in total but the penalty miss at Anfield is proving costly. 6 Leroy Sane A slow start to the campaign for the German winger but he’s responded in style and has been key to many convincing wins. 7 Raheem Sterling Responded to the alleged racism incident at Stamford Bridge with great class and dignity, while his performances and returns continue to impress. 9 Gabriel Jesus Flashes of inspiration from the Brazilian, with a hat-trick against Shakhtar Donetsk and a double against Everton, but too many mediocre displays. 6 Sergio Aguero Not quite at his ruthless best in front of goal this season, with eight in 14 Premier League starts. But he’s been missed in recent weeks after battling an adductor injury. 7

?? ?? Might be about to get a run thanks to Delph’s red card. Done little wrong when he has been called on though. 5 Raheem Sterling
