WE Are Indigo, the Manchesterbased PR and events agency, is celebrating another ‘standout year’ as it sets its sights on further expansion in the UK and internationally.

The agency, which is led by founder and director Gemma Krysko and husband Matthew, already represents food, drink and entertainment venue Albert’s Schloss; the Trof Group, Gorilla, The Deaf Institute, and Albert Hall – the 2,500 capacity main chapel located above Albert’s Schloss.

Earlier this year, it was appointed to promote a string of international high-profile restaurants within The Entourage Group, including Izakaya Ibiza, Mr Porter Amsterdam, The Butcher Berlin and Michelin-starred restaurant The Duchess in Amsterdam.

And to top the year off, the Northern Quarter agency won a number of new clients, including The Ivy in Spinningfields, Dakota Manchester and Rudy’s Liverpool.

“2017 was a great year for us having ended it with wins with Chivas Regal and Pernod Recard and that set the precedent for us going into 2018,” said Gemma.

“The biggest win for us in Manchester this year was the launch of The Ivy, the largest restaurant to open in the UK with space for 535 diners.

“The Ivy is a British institution, it’s a fantastic addition to Manchester and to the existing dining offer across the city, and to be part of the launch is something we’re very proud of.”

She continues: “While we’ve had some great wins in the UK and especially in Manchester, it’s also been a privilege to take our services to Europe.

“We successfully launched Izakaya Ibiza this year and we’re heading back to Ibiza in 2019 for the 20th anniversary of Bambuddha. Our long-term goal is to open an Ibiza office as we’ve been working with clients there for the last four years and we see plenty of opportunities to grow our portfolio. And we’re also looking at expanding into Amsterdam too.

“Our work over recent years has shown that we are 100 per cent a destination PR agency.

“I love Manchester and the city has been good to us and we will always be based here but we are an international PR firm that has its roots in the city.”

We Are Indigo has recently strengthened its team, having appointed Joanne Greer as senior account director and Louis Cannell as a social media consultant.

Joanne joins from Manchester and London-based PR agency Mason Williams and has an expertise in the travel and hospitality sectors.

Louis brings 10 years’ experience in online marketing, including social media, graphic design and photography, along with his experience as an influencer on Manchester’s food and drink scene.

The new recruit will support the agency in delivering personalised social media management and content creation for clients.

Gemma said: “This has been a standout year for We Are Indigo, and we are pleased to have secured these two new recruits for the agency. They will bring a new level of expertise to the team and offering to our clients.

“As a collective we can draw on their wealth of experience, creativity and strategic approach, to help drive the agency’s ambitious plans to grow over the next few years.”
