It’s a wrap! Cath looks red-hot on break from filming

-

FORMER Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley waved goodbye to the soap last summer – and fans of the Salford actress will be pleased to learn that she’s back in front of the cameras.

Cath showed off her winter style as she took a break from filming in Wales to go on a shopping spree with her family – and she looked super-glam in a long red coat and a Gucci blush pink cross-body bag with slouchy camel-coloured boots.

And the mother-of-one warded off the chill with a snuggly jumper.

The actress, from Walkden, visited Arighi Bianchi home furnishings store in Macclesfield, joined by her personal trainer husband Tom Pitfield and their three-yearold son Alfie. The former soap star took selfies with fans and purchased new flooring for her home.

Cath said: “I am obsessed with interiors and really want to spend time on it on breaks from filming.

“I’m in Wales Monday to Friday filming so I love an excuse for a day out with the fam.”

Cath, 35, played bubbly Eva for seven years until the machinist and barmaid decided to depart the famous cobbles following the death of her late ex-fiance Aidan Connor played by Shayne Ward.

Eva’s last scenes revolved around Aidan’s inquest and conflict with his dad Johnny.

Catherine, who previously told the M.E.N. she hopes the door will remain open for her return to the soap at some point in the future, revealed last year that she had some top secret TV projects in the pipeline in 2019.

On her future after Corrie she previously said there’s a few ‘bits and bobs on the horizon.’ Cath was also planning to go travelling as a family with Australia in mind because she had family there who haven’t met Alfie yet. She’d love to work on a comedy in the future, stating Julie Walters as one of her idols, and she’s a big fan of Peaky Blinders. Cath was also looking forward to being less high maintenance after shedding Eva’s fake tan and nails. She laughed: “I said to Tom: ‘I’m gonna be a right minger now.’ It’s all coming off.” “I love glam, but hopefully in a slightly classier way. Generally I’m in gym gear or jeans or a maxi dress. She would never wear a maxi dress, it’s too covered up.” I am obessed with interiors and really want spend time on it on breaks from filming CatherineTyldesley
