Mystery as police set up forensics tent in street
OFFICERS erected a forensics tent in the middle of the street while investigating an incident in Wythenshawe.
There were also reports of police carrying out door to door enquiries and fingertip searches of the area.
A large cordon was in place around Thornsgreen Road, near to Manchester Airport, and is also understood to cover Lenham Walk.
One witness told the M.E.N: “There was a large police cordon and numerous officers were going back and forth doing door to door.
“A tactical aid unit van also arrived at the scene.”
Another witness said he believed five separate sections of the road have been closed off on Thornsgreen Road, and the tent is in the middle.
No one from Greater Manchester Police was available for comment.
