Man stabbed in shoulder
AN investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed.
Police were called to Thornsgreen Road, Wythenshawe, near Manchester Airport, just after 1am.
A 27-year-old was taken to hospital with a ‘serious’ shoulder injury.
The road was closed off and a forensics tent put up.
Officers from the Tactical Aid Unit were later seen carrying out a fingertip search of the street and gardens.
Witnesses say police were also going door-to-door, with officers also speaking to residents nearby Lenham Walk and Lincombe Road. It is understood TAU officers also visited a nearby field as part of the investigation. The cordon was lifted around 1pm. A spokesman for GMP said the man has now been discharged from hospital.
