Richardson retuns to hold off Wolves

- By TOM BRAMWELL

LEIGH will again have St Helens half-back Danny Richardson available on dual-registration for the visit of Toronto Wolfpack tomorrow afternoon.

The playmaker featured in every one of Saints’ Super League fixtures last season and was named in the Dream Team at the end of the year, but has yet to be selected by coach Justin Holbrook in 2019.

He is expected to partner Martyn Ridyard in the halves, but on-loan Wigan Warriors half-back Josh Woods is also named in John Duffy’s 19-man squad for the fixture.

Rochdale travel to Batley on Sunday and coach Carl Forster is pleased with how his side has reacted to back-to-back defeats against Toronto and Toulouse – two of the sides expected to compete for promotion from the Betfred Championship.

“I thought our start to the game [against Toulouse] was brilliant and we can take a lot from that,” said Forster. French side Olympique travel to Heywood Road to take on a Swinton side still looking for their first win of the season.

The Lions battled strongly against Dewsbury last time out, but will be need to be at their best to overcome Sylvain Houles’ promotion-chasing outfit.

In League One, Oldham have been boosted by positive fitness tests for Jack Spencer and Zack McComb, both of whom are available to face Whitehaven tomorrow at the Vestacare
