McTominay: Solskjaer’s determination is clear to see

- By JOSH CHALLIES

UNITED midfielder Scott McTominay has stated that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s determination to succeed at the club is clear.

The Scotland international has been a mainstay for United this season in what has been a difficult time for the club, who currently sit mid-table in the Premier League.

United return from the current international break this weekend by hosting a Liverpool side who currently sit top of the table with a 100 per cent record so far this term.

Securing a positive result against Jurgen Klopp’s side will not be an easy task and further pressure will be placed upon Solskjaer if the poor vein of form continues.

United are determined to get back to their best and McTominay has revealed that Solskjaer’s determination is clear to see for the squad.

“You don’t play for Manchester United for all them years and scoring some amazing goals without having that in your DNA,” he told Sky Sports.

“You can see that as a player and as a manager as well. Every coach is different but you can see similarities with some of the coaches I have worked with in the past as well.

“Smiling comes from winning, that’s the way it is. When you’re doing well, everybody wants to smile and everybody is pleased, so that’s where we want to get to as a group.

“Hopefully in the next games we can do that.”

United travel to face Partizan Belgrade after hosting Liverpool, as they continue their Europa League exploits, before clashes with Norwich City and Chelsea to end the month.
