Halloween as guest at the Addams Family home

-

FANS of the mysterious and spooky Addams Family can now stay in their creepy mansion this Halloween.

The massive three bedroom, 3,700 square foot, 19th century townhouse is located in historic Clinton Hill in Brooklyn, New York.

Guests will be able to tinker with machines in Pugsley’s Room, play with Wednesday’s headless doll in the living room and even care for some of Morticia’s carnivorous plants.

There’s room for up to four adults, although children are also welcome to stay - making it perfect for a spooky getaway.

Although the property is not the original mansion as featured in the classic live action films, the interior of this central apartment has been transformed into an impressive replica of the infamous creepy house.

The master bedroom boasts a macabre-looking four poster canopy bed, complete with a ball and chain, rope, and a carpet of snakes.

The gothic drawing room has an open fire, polar bearskin rug, swords mounted on the wall and a vase of carnivorous plants.

Pugsley’s room is home to a bear trap and explosive devices, while Wednesday’s bedroom has an electric chair, a ouiji board, and the headboard is made from a guillotine.

Even the doorbell is true to theme, with Lurch’s famous ‘you rang’ doorbell.

The property has been listed in celebration of the release of The Addams Family Movie which landed in UK cinemas on October 11.

So naturally, the experience comes complete with spooky snacks, an exclusive screening of the new film, and branded amenities. Guests will also receive a complimentary witch’s shawl and a broomstick when they reserve their room, according to Booking. com.

Four one-night stays are available during Halloween week from October 29 November 1 for $101.10 (£80.50 per night).

Reservations are on a firstcome first-served basis and are available from October 28.
