Remembranc­e Sunday: Where you can salute our heroes . . .

TOMORROW is Remembranc­e Sunday when the nation will fall silent in tribute to those who have given their lives in conflicts.

Greater Manchester will be joining the salute. Here are some of the places where you can pay your respects. The full list is online at manchester­eveningnew­s.com.

MANCHESTER

Civic dignitarie­s, faith leaders, political leaders and members of the armed forces - both serving and veterans - will be invited to pay their respects at the city’s Cenotaph in St Peter’s Square at 11am.

The Remembranc­e procession will assemble on Peter Street outside the Radisson Hotel, setting off for the Cenotaph at 10.25am.

After the service, the parade will march back past Central Library where a salute will be taken by the Lord Mayor, the Lord-Lieutenant, senior representa­tives from the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, 207 Field Hospital and also the Reserved Forces.

TRAFFORD

Altrincham: Dunham Road Garden of Remembranc­e, service at 10:50am.

Sale: War Memorial outside Sale Town Hall, service starts 10.55am. Parade beings from outside the Masonic Hall 10.40am.

Stretford: War Memorial, Chester Road, Stretford, service starts 10.55am. Parade starts from Metro Club, Moss Lane at 10:25am.

ROCHDALE

The parade will depart to the Cenotaph at 10.45am. At 10.50am, the Mayor, Chief Executive and MP, will leave the town hall for the Service at the Cenotaph.

Heywood: The parade sets off from Tower Street at 10.30am. The Remembranc­e Service will take place at Heywood Memorial Gardens from 10.55am - 11.15am.

Middleton: The Remembranc­e Service will begin at 10.45am.

OLDHAM

The service will be at 10.50am at the War Memorial, opposite the Old Town Hall.

Failsworth: Beginning at 10.55am, the service will take place at the War Memorial, Oldham Road.

Chadderton: People will gather at the War Memorial in the Old Town Hall Gardens, Middleton Road, for the service to begin at 10.55am.

SALFORD

A service will take place at the Cenotaph in Albert Bentley Place, The Crescent at 10.45am. Those attending are asked to arrive for 10.30am.

Swinton: The service will take place at the Cenotaph, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton at 10.50am.

Eccles: A parade will gather at the car park at the back of Eccles Town Hall in Church Street at 10.30am before the service and wreath laying at the Cenotaph in

Church Street at 10.45am.

BOLTON

Farnworth: People are being invited to gather in Market Street at 10.30am to move down to the Cenotaph. The Remembranc­e Service will take place at 11am.

Horwich: The Parade will then leave at 11.40am from outside the RMI Club on Ramsbottom Road. The Service at the Garden of Remembranc­e will begin at 12.15pm.

TAMESIDE

Droylsden: The parade assembles on Church Street and departs at 10am to Droylsden War Memorial for a remembranc­e service and wreath laying at 10.45am.

Hyde: Parade departs at 2.10pm to Hyde Central Methodist Church (Norfolk Street) for a remembranc­e service at 2.30pm.

Dunkinfiel­d: C e nt ra l Pa ra d e assembles at the town hall, King Street, at 2.30pm for departure at 2.45pm proceeding via King Street and Crescent Road to the Chapel Hill war memorial for a remembranc­e service and wreath laying ceremony at 3pm.

STOCKPORT

At 10.45am, a Civic Procession will take place from the Town Hall to the War Memorial before a two minutes’ silence and a placing of the wreaths.

Bredbury: At 3pm there will be a service at the War Memorial, George Lane.

Cheadle: There will be a service at the War Memorial at 10.50am.

BURY

Ramsbottom: The parade sets off from the Ramsbottom Royal British Legion club at 10.45am for a service at the cenotaph at 11am.

WIGAN

The two minutes silence will be observed at the War Memorial at 11am then the Mayor of Wigan, Councillor Steve Dawber, will lay a wreath followed by representa­tives of the various organisati­ons. The procession will then proceed into the Parish Church for the Service.

Leigh: The Parade will proceed at 10.30am to the Cenotaph where a service will take place
