NOW that’s what I call a blast from the past...
EVERYONE remembers their first NOW That’s What I Call Music compilation album, bringing together dozens of pop hits on one (or two) discs.
First launched in 1983, there have been 104 of the albums – as well as several spin-off editions – with Robbie Williams, Rihanna, Calvin Harris and David Guetta among the most-featured artists.
Now, the NOW albums will be celebrated with a new club night, due to launch in Manchester this weekend.
The official NOW Club Night comes from the same team behind Ultimate Power, the popular power ballad night.
Taking place at the O2 Ritz, tunes will span across the decades.
Expect songs you’d forgotten you loved as a teenager through to songs you wish you could forget (why, Bob The Builder, why?).
Manchester will get the first taste of the NOW Club Nights on Saturday – the nights will then take place on the last Saturday of every month at the O2 Ritz.
The events will also take place at Scala in London, with further towns and cities due to be added this year.

“Everyone remembers their first NOW and the way that, across 40-odd tracks, it gave you the biggest bangers of the day across every genre out there; opening your horizons as you fell, uncontrollably, in love with music.
“They are a greatest hits of everyone’s greatest hits: and what could be better than a club night that celebrates these songs? We want everyone to have the same wondrous feeling when they step into a NOW Club Night as they did when they listened to their very first NOW album.”
