TERMINATOR: Dark Fate melds precious metals from previous instalments of the sci-fi franchise. Daniella Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is, unknowingly, the touchpaper of a resistance which will retaliate against machines of the future. Dani is targeted for extermination by an artificial intelligence called Legion, which dispatches a liquid metal Terminator, the Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna), to kill her. Augmented human soldier Grace (Mackenzie Davis) materialises to protect Dani before grizzled Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), enters the fray. She must rely on a retired T-800 unit (Arnold Schwarzenegger, pictured) to complete their mission.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY (U)

COMPUTER-ANIMATED comedy. Gomez Addams (voiced by Oscar Isaac) marries sweetheart Morticia (Charlize Theron) in front of family and friends. The ceremony is interrupted by pitchfork-wielding villagers and the newlyweds flee on the back of Gomez’s brother Fester (Nick Kroll) in search of sanctuary. An abandoned insane asylum in New Jersey becomes their home and the couple raises a daughter Wednesday (Chloe Grace Moretz) and son Pugsley (Finn Wolfhard). Interior designer Margaux Needler (Allison Janney) chooses a plot of land nearby for a new reality TV series and uncovers the ramshackle Addams estate.

BLACK AND BLUE (15)

ALICIA WEST (Naomie Harris, pictured) is a rookie officer in the New Orleans Police Department. During a routine call, she witnesses the murder of a drug dealer and captures footage of the kill on a camera in her bulletproof vest. The perpetrators are her training officer Deacon (James Moses Black) and corrupt detectives Terry (Frank Grillo) and Darius (Mike Colter). They shoot Alicia to prevent her from escaping with the footage, but the vest protects her. The rookie goes on the run and she begs local man Milo (Tyrese Gibson), to help her expose the culprits. With a bounty on her head, however, every criminal in the city is gunning for her.
