All my Hiran wanted was to be loved...

SISTER TELLS OF IMPACT OF ‘CHEMSEX’ CHEF’S DEATH

- By ANDREW BARDSLEY

THE sister of a chef who died after being injected with drugs during chemsex by a man he met on Grindr says he ‘deserves to pay’ for her brother’s death.

Neil Cuckson, 32, was jailed for six years after admitting five offences including administering a poison or noxious substance so as to endanger life.

Hiran Chauhan, 24, died after Cuckson gave him GHB and injected him with crystal meth.

Cuckson then desperately tried to cover up Hiran’s death, before burying his body in a park opposite his flat in Eccles, Salford.

Hiran’s body was discovered by schoolchildren on July 9 last year, almost a week after he first met Cuckson. The exact cause of Hiran’s death remains unclear, because the state of his body when it was recovered meant that a normal post-mortem examination could not be conducted.

Ex-Corrie star: ‘I wasn’t ready for fame’

FORMER Corrie star Craig Charles says he handled the limelight ‘badly’ when he shot to fame.

The DJ and actor, 55, who first found fame on the BBC sci-fi comedy series Red Dwarf, told The Big Issue magazine that he was not prepared for his success.

“I was famous when I was quite young. There was no preparation, no fame school where I came spoke in front of Cuckson to reveal the impact of her sibling’s death.

She said: “Growing up we were stuck together at the hip, when our parents would take us out people would comment on how they thought we were twins, and how we would stick by each other no matter what.

“Unfortunately this failed, as now he has left me and I couldn’t protect him from the danger he was in. Hiran was the life and soul of the party. No matter how he was feeling or what he was struggling with he always had a smile on his face and never let anyone around him be sad or suffer.

“All Hiran wanted was love, he looked for love from others because unfortunately we did not get this from our parents.

“When I found out he was missing I had a deep hole in my stomach. No matter what others said I knew something bad had happened, as Hiran going missing was out of character. Each day he was missing I was looking everywhere for him. I’m not religious but each night I prayed for him.

“I then remember seeing on the news that a body had been found. I called the police seeking an update.

“I remember thinking that the body had been found in such a from,” he said. “You’re not taught how to handle it, this sudden influx of wealth and fame. And I handled it all very badly.

“I was unreliable. I was cocky. I was always late. I used to wing it a lot. I mean, friends can come and go, but enemies, they last a lifetime.”

While he was on I’m horrific way, I was hoping and praying that it wasn’t my beautiful brother, Hiran.”

Hiran’s bank card was found on his body, leaving Gemma facing the worst possible news.

She said: “I sat fully clothed for three hours under a cold shower crying, crying like I had never done before. “The feelings I felt that day have not gone away, that emptiness has been with me ever since.

“When I was told what had happened to my brother, I just could not process it. It was horrific.” She added: “Someone dying who you know, are close to, or someone you met once is horrible for anyone but the events Neil Cuckson took after my brother passed away is disgusting.

“He should have rang an ambulance, there was a chance my brother could have been saved, but no, Neil Cuckson thought he was better than a medical professional and thought he could make all these decisions.

“What kind of individual thinks it’s normal to sleep next to a body for six days, wrap him up, buy a car to hide a body, drag a body across a road and dump a body in a field, this is not normal and he deserves to suffer.

“No justice will ever make me feel better, he took my brother away from me.”

A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2014, Charles discovered that his older brother, Dean, had died. He flew home immediately, and has previously told how his brother had tried to contact him before he joined the show.

“If I could have one last conversation with anyone it would be my brother Dean,” he said.
