JOANNA LUMLEY’S HIDDEN CARIBBEAN: HAVANA TO HAITI ITV, 9pm
JUST to listen to actress Joanna Lumley speak is enough to entrance us – she could quite frankly be reading out the phone book. But she’s off on her travels again.
“I’m going on an adventure through two of the most intoxicating countries in the world,” she says. “Why don’t you tag along?”
She’s heading to two Caribbean countries, Cuba and Haiti, both undoubtedly poor in monetary terms but abundantly rich in other ways.
Starting in Havana, she meets a rising female boxing star, watches a cabaret and reads some Charles Dickens to factory workers as they roll cigars.
She also jumps on a horse and cart, explores Hemingway’s favourite beach and Fidel Castro’s hometown, and tries her first Piña Colada.
As she wanders the streets of Havana, Joanna says: “You could spend all day long walking up and down these ravishing streets.”
No one says “ravishing” quite like Joanna. A captivating series.
THE SPLIT

CONTINUING to hammer us with emotional trauma, now Hannah (Nicola Walker) must deal with the fallout out of her affair being revealed.
After husband Nathan (Stephen Mangan) found her keys to Christie’s apartment, he let himself in and found her face cream by his bed. That’ll do it.
Hannah wants to make amends, but Nathan is having none of it.
Meanwhile, the tape of Fi’s drunken night with Carrie and Richie is leaked online. Fi (Donna Air) believes it was Richie (Ben Bailey Smith) who leaked it, but he swears it wasn’t him.
Just to make things even more complicated, it seems that Christie has provided Fi with a little more than a shoulder to cry on in her hour of need.
And later on, Ruth takes Hannah, Christie and Nathan back to their old law school to assist the students – but it’s hardly a fun day out for this trio.
Awkward barely covers it.
