GRIME star Bugzy Malone has said he is ‘lucky to be alive’ after he was seriously injured in a quad bike crash.

The 29-year-old grime star, from Crumpsall, was riding a three-wheel style vehicle on Rochdale Road in Bury when it was involved in a smash with a car.

Bugzy – real name Aaron Davis – was taken to hospital suffering serious injuries.

The rapper shared photographs of himself recovering in hospital and thanked fans for their support following the incident last Wednesday.

A post on the Bugzy Malone Facebook page said: “They tell me I’m lucky to be alive but although I sustained serious injuries at the time I lost consciousness so I don’t remember much, what I do remember is the none stop love, and just want to say thanks for all the well wishes and prayers you lot caught me off guard with all the support!

“Lock down ain’t easy because boredom causes the craziest problems, but be safe regardless.”

A photograph accompanying the post showed the grime star lying in a hospital bed with cuts and stitches to his face. Another image appeared to show the musician lying on the ground unconscious, while others showed him posing wearing a protective face mask next to the vehicle before the crash took place.

Police confirmed they were called to the collision and an investigation has been launched.

Anyone with information can call police on 101, quoting incident number 2677 of 25/03/20.
