Back to the Eighties...

-

ARETRO music festival is coming to your living room this weekend, headlined by some of the biggest names of the 1980s.

80s Lockdown Fest will be headlined by the likes of Tony Hadley, Wet Wet Wet, and Jason Donovan, all to raise money for charity.

Streaming live to your living room tomorrow, the festival has been put together to support Child Bereavement UK.

Also on the bill will be Chesney Hawkes, ABC, Howard Jones and Midge Ure, to name a few.

The whole festival will be hosted by Pat Sharp and Dave Benson Phillips, and will take place on what should have been the day that kicked off the 2020 Let’s Rock festival.

Toyah, Hue & Cry, Brother Beyond, Five Star, and Then Jerico will all be performing on the live stream this weekend.

The festival will be streamed across all the Let’s Rock location Facebook pages as well as on YouTube from 7pm.

Let’s Rock organisers UK Live said: “We would really like to thank both our audience and the artists for their amazing support and loyalty, and we really can’t wait to come back bigger and better next year.

“However, we couldn’t just leave it until then!

“We all need a little pick-me-up so we thought why can’t we do a festival ‘off the field’ (taking into consideration self-distancing of course)?

“Okay, we’re not all together in a field with a drink in hand enjoying the atmosphere, but we can all live through it together on our screens, and hopefully we can also raise some much-needed funds for the incredible charity Child Bereavement UK.”

Child Bereavement UK supports families who have experienced the loss of a child, and has received more than £500,000 from UK Live in the last few years.

The festival will be streamed completely free on YouTube but donations are encouraged at Child Bereavement UK.

You can text to donate too - to donate £5 text LETSROCK to 70085; for £10 text LETSROCK to 70450; and to donate £20 text LETSROCK to 70470. Texts will cost your donation plus a standard message rate.
