MAN ARRESTED OVER COSTA DEL SOL KILLING
DAD SHOT FIVE TIMES AS HE PARKED AUDI OUTSIDE SPANISH VILLA FULL STORY
A MAN has been arrested after a dad was shot dead in Spain.
Businessman Peter Andrew Williamson, aged 39 and nicknamed ‘Snaggle,’ was shot five times as he parked his Audi outside his villa in Riviera del Sol near Fuengirola, last November.
Originally from Kersal, Salford, dadof-two Mr Williamson had just returned home from the gym when his killer who was on foot - walked up to him and opened fire.
A vehicle, driven by someone else, was seen speeding away from the scene - but it’s not known whether the driver was an accomplice or a witness, as the vehicle has not been traced.
Mr Williamson’s mother, who lives in the same resort, was by his side after he was shot and desperately tried to save him.
A man has now been arrested at his home on an upmarket estate near Murcia, south east Spain.
He was remanded in jail following a behind-closed-doors court hearing as part of an ongoing murder investigation.
Business records show Mr Williamson was registered as a self-employed agricultural sector intermediary, specialising in ‘international trade.’
The suspect could now face extradition.
A judicial official confirmed: “A duty magistrate at Murcia’s Court of Instruction Number Four has ordered the remand in prison of a man who is being investigated on suspicion of crimes of homicide and membership of a criminal gang as well as a drugs crime.”
Mr Williamson died instantly from one of the seven bullets fired at him, which hit him in the heart.
