The Italian Job is coming to Yorkshire

INSPIRED by the Michael Caine film of the same name, the Italian Job motoring holiday has been (for the last 30 years) a road trip for Mini and vintage car enthusiasts, taking adventurers to Italy, visiting some of the locations used in the hit movie.

Now organisers have decided to run the first UK-based ‘job’ in October this year – in North Yorkshire.

The four-day ‘Yorkshire Job’ will kick off at the Oxford Mini Plant before driving through this historic county – from the soaring natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales to the rugged sandy beaches of the Yorkshire Coast; to the landscapes of the North Yorkshire Moors to the charm of Leeds and York’s ancient cobbled streets.

The ‘Job’ finishes with its traditional celebratory black-tie event in the historic town of Windsor.

The Italian Job aims to raise money for children affected by poverty in the UK. Its current charity is Buttle UK.

The cost of the IJ Yorkshire adventure is £549pp based on a twin/double occupancy. Price includes hotel accommodation half-board including wine at dinner; lunch out; tickets to the reception and gala dinner; team entry in the navigational rally with your own IJ Rook Book; entry to any visiting attractions; assistance throughout by the organisers, marshals and service van.

The main Italian Job event will return to Italy in 2021 starting in Turin. Registration for the IJ Yorkshire Job 20 and the IJ 21 is now open. Further details can be found at italianjob.com or email gsg@italianjob.com
