Alarm Bells for United as Jude ‘eyes Dortmund’

- By MARCUS BANKS @MENSports

JUDE Bellingham has rejected the chance to move to United in favour of a switch to Borussia Dortmund – according to reports.

The youngster is a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after breaking into the first-team at Birmingham. Bellingham is regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in the country, and is set to take the next step in his career at the end of the season.

M.E.N. Sport understand United’s interest in the 16-year-old emerged in January but no formal offer was made.

Bellingham was given a tour of the Carrington training complex alongside his parents in March as the Reds attempted to convince him that a move to Old Trafford would be best for his future. Borussia Dortmund are believed to be United’s main competition to sign Bellingham and SportBild head of football, Christian Falk, claims the youngster has made the decision to move to the Bundesliga.

He told utdreport: “The strong clubs in the Bundesliga, behind Bayern, offer talented English players a chance to play, even internationally. Bellingham will therefore also go to Dortmund, not United. You will see. Our information is that he has chosen Borussia Dortmund.”

Elsewhere, reports claim that Juventus have transfer-listed former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and United are believed to be interested in the Welshman, 29.

M.E.N. Sport understands Ramsey is not a priority target for the Reds as he does not fit the player profile.
