Talking BETTING

- FRED DONE

JADON Sancho fits the bill – and my message to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is to break the bank and buy him ASAP.

He’s on the verge of being world class, knows all about Manchester from his time at City, and if the Reds are going to get back their glory years then he’s just the sort of match-winner we need.

There’s been talk that Daniel James might be sent off on loan to make room for Sancho, but that’s got to be nonsense.

You can’t get enough pace in a team, and both Sancho and James are perfect for United’s counter-attacking style.

Dortmund will no doubt hang on for a record-breaking fee for the England winger who City had in their grasp in the academy before allowing him to leave the club.

If I was in Ole’s shoes, I would be trying to find a way to move on Paul Pogba, who since his £90m move from Juventus has hardly ripped up any trees.

In fact, he’s only performed to the level we all expected in half a dozen matches for us.

United are odds-on at Betfred to land Sancho this summer – but expect competition from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Ahead of our high street shops reopening tomorrow, we’ve already seen significant interest on City’s game against Arsenal.

I was thinking the Blues might play a weakened team, given the league is already decided, their runners-up spot is all but guaranteed, and they still have interest in the FA Cup and Champions League.

But Pep Guardiola should be applauded for the fact he always shows he has great respect for whatever competition his club are in by often fielding a fullstrength team.

City are 1/3 with Betfred to triumph against the Gunners (7/1).

When the Bundesliga restarted, there were not many bookings, however, it’s strange to report that in two successive rounds of Saturday games all 10 teams picked up three or more bookings.

And guess what – there were six canny Betfred customers who used pocket money to get on that happening at 250/1 as part of our #PickYourPunt promotion.

Finally, don’t forget the FA Cup will be soon upon us – and City are 4/6 favourites at Betfred to lift the famous old trophy.

Chelsea are 7/1, United 8/1, and both Leicester and Arsenal are 9/1 shots.
