WHAT’S HAPPENING IN LOCKDOWN?

-

ATTRACTIONS BEGIN TO REOPEN

WITH the UK slowly reawakening from lockdown, some attractions on home turf are starting to reopen.

Many of us embraced the nature around us during our permitted one hour’s daily exercise. And news that the National Trust has just started phased reopening of its stunning gardens and grounds across the UK should bring us even more joy.

You’ll have to pre-book your tickets on the individual property pages and you will be required to keep to the distancing measures. National Trust houses, shops, holiday cottages and campsites still remain closed but it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy its spectacular locations. Visit nationaltrust.org.uk

Following in the National Trust’s footsteps, English Heritage reopened some of its sites last week, and will follow that up with further openings in early July and August. Currently it has around 200 sites that are open and just waiting to be explored. They include Iron Bridge, parts of Hadrian’s Wall and Caister Roman Fort.

Booking your place in advance is essential.
