Talking BETTING

- FRED DONE

THE spotlight this weekend switches to the FA Cup.

The only danger stopping one - or even both - of the Manchester clubs reaching the Wembley final are Chelsea, who were half decent against City on Thursday.

United are 5/1 to win the trophy - and I can’t see them having any trouble at all overcoming fast-fading Norwich today.

The Canaries are 40/1 to win the Cup with Newcastle, who face holders City tomorrow, at 33/1.

It has been a long time since a United player notched a hat-trick. Well, since Anthony Martial did it against Sheffield United, fans have been thinking he can do it again...and Betfred have him at 33/1 to do it again at Carrow Road.

Betfred are 9/1 United and City both win both halves at Norwich and Newcastle. Of all the clubs I have seen since the resumption, City have impressed me the most despite the reversal at Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola’s men are sure to get themselves up for the Cup they won last season and are outright favourites at Betfred to win it again at 4/5.

Betfred have already been taking bets on who will win the Premier League NEXT season – and City are favourites ahead of Liverpool at 6/5.

Their squad is so good even the injury to Sergio Aguero is unlikely to have much of an impact on the rest of the season - except if their talisman striker fails to be fit for the glamour Champions League tie with Real Madrid.

If the Blues lose their appeal and remain banned from Europe, it will be the Premier League that gets their utmost attention next season, which enhances their position as favourites.

There were plenty of crafty City fans who backed the Blues to beat Burnley 5-0 with Phil Foden among the scorers which was available at 80/1 at Betfred, including one supporter who picked up £3,240 from his £40 bet.
