And venue organises are going above and beyond as they adhere to government guidelines, guests will have access to a bespoke app and booking system and a confirmation booking email with their ‘Social + Safe Manifesto.’

They are limiting bookings to three hours and there will be a separate Covid secure entrance and exit.

Elsewhere the ‘People Wall’ will demonstrate the two metre rule on the way to venue from the top of Baring Street.

On top of that there will be a dedicated cleaning team and one way toilet system with individual cubicles and basins.

Customers will be offered PPE such as face masks on entry, there will be a welcome briefing complete with COVID temp check and hand sanitiser - and track and trace will be available via the app.

The space aims to become an ‘international destination akin to the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Coney Island in New York and Grand Central Market in Los Angeles.’

It’s due to launch later this month - but if you’re hoping to check it out, you’ll have to make sure you put your name down.

Initially launching its ‘Safe + Social Manifesto’ as a 600-capacity venue, Escape to Freight Island will expand to welcome 2,500 people when fully open later this year.

Bookings will be open next week and to be given a 24 hour advance notice for tables, join the community on the Escape to Freight Island website.

Table slots of three hours will be pre-booked from Thursday to Sunday, running from midday to midnight.
