FOUR children who were killed in a fire at their home are being remembered on the third anniversary of the blaze that cut their young lives short.

Walkden’s ‘little angels’ Demi, 15, along with brother Brandon, eight, and sisters Lacie, seven, and threeyear-old Lia, died following the fire at their Jackson Street home on December 11, 2017.

Their mum Michelle Pearson, who was left critically ill, died in August 2019 after a courageous 20-month fight for life.

Their deaths sparked an outpouring of grief in the family’s home town, and saw the community rally round to raise thousands of pounds for the children’s funeral.

Yesterday, on the third anniversary of the fire, the children’s grandma Sandra Lever paid tribute to the children on social media.

In a post, which Sandra has given the M.E.N. permission to share, she wrote: “3yrs today you got took away from us to soon not one day goes by when we don’t think about you we love you always you will never be forgotten xxxx”

Hundreds of mourners lined the streets to pay their respects at the children’s funeral service in September 2018, during which they were described as being best friends as well as siblings.

Their aunt read a tribute on behalf of Michelle, in which Lia was remembered as a ‘right little chatterbox’, while Lacie loved to dance.

Brandon loved technology and computers and had promised to build his mum a new house when he grew up, and Demi was her mum’s ‘best friend’.
