HARVEY Livett has been confirmed as the latest new arrival at Salford Red Devils.

The 23-year-old second-rower has joined Salford from Warrington, having spent 2020 and part of 2019 on loan at Hull KR. During his time with the Wolves, Livett worked with new Red Devils boss Richard Marshall.

“I’m looking forward to getting into pre-season and then proving what I can do on the pitch,” he said. “Speaking to a few of the boys who I know here, this is a great place to be and next year’s going to be a big one for us.

“I worked with Rich before, when I was coming through at Warrington, so I know what he’s about. He’s a good coach and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Livett played alongside Salford playmakers Kevin Brown at Warrington and Chris Atkin at KR. Earlier in his career, Livett also featured on dualregistration for Rochdale Hornets.

“I have known Harvey since he was coming through the academy at Warrington,” said Marshall.

“He’s an exciting, energetic player, who adds another dimension to our team.

“He has a lot of Super League experience for a player so young, but is still determined to continue his development.”

Director of rugby Ian Blease was delighted to confirm Livett’s capture on a two-year contract following the signings of Joe Burgess, Matty Costello and Sam Luckley, as well as the appointment of Danny Orr as assistant coach to Marshall.

“Harvey’s an ambitious young player, who we are really pleased to have join us,” said Blease. “He’s already impressed with his performances at the elite level and is now looking to continue his progression.”
