A FORMER Salford TV producer made redundant from The Jeremy Kyle show after it was axed took her own life, a coroner has ruled.

Natasha Reddican struggled to find work after the wellknown ITV programme was axed in June 2019.

The 31-year-old lost her job along with others in the wake of the death of guest Steve Dymond, who passed away after appearing on the show earlier that year.

Ms Reddican spent months applying for other jobs without success. Her loved ones said she suffered with depression.

Despite having a job interview arranged on February 27, she was tragically found hanged in her Pendleton home later that day. It is unclear why that interview didn’t take palce.

Her mum said she knew her daughter was ‘low’, but said: “I never thought she was that low.”

An inquest into Ms Reddican’s death was held at Bolton Coroners’ Court yesterday (Thursday).

Coroner Timothy Brennand heard Ms Reddican - described as ‘bright’ and ‘clever’ worked on The Jeremy Kyle show for eight years.

She worked her way up from being a runner to a producer. Her role included booking guests and helping with the running of the show.

Ms Reddican’s mother Laraine Law said the job meant ‘everything’ to her daughter.

The inquest heard losing her job ‘knocked’ Natasha and led to the breakdown of the ‘family unit’ she had built with colleagues.

Ms Law said: “It was not just her job, it was her family. She just loved working”.

Coroner Brennand recorded a conclusion of suicide.
