Let’s fix our home form now, says boss Solskjaer

REDS SET TWO LEAGUE RECORDS IN BLADES VICTORY

UNITED moved to sixth in the Premier League after their 3-2 victory over Sheffield United.

The Reds are five points off the top of the table with a game in hand as they continued their promising start to the Premier League campaign.

United’s away form has been one of their highlights of the season so far, with six wins out of six on the road in the Premier League.

They are the only unbeaten club on the road in the division so far this campaign thanks to their 100 per cent streak and they set two more records in the victory at Bramall Lane.

Dean Henderson’s early error saw the Reds fall behind to the Blades and, after coming back to grab the three points, United are the first-ever Premier League side to win six away games after conceding first in each of them.

The fine away form is a continuation from the end of last season - and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have also become the first Premier League team to score two or more times in 10 consecutive away matches.

United’s next two away games in the Premier League will represent a further test of their brilliant record on the road as they travel to Leicester City before facing Liverpool at Anfield. The next job for the Reds will be to improve their home form, with just one win and two draws to show from their six league matches at Old Trafford so far this season. United’s next home games are against Leeds United this weekend in what should be an engrossing encounter and a Wolves side that have been below-par recently but recorded a morale-boosting victory over Chelsea this week.

Speaking post-match on Amazon Prime, Solskjaer said his side are well-aware that they need to fix their home form - and said they are highly-motivated to face rivals Leeds this weekend.

He said: “We need to sort the home form. It’s not like it’s home and away in these conditions without fans.

“It seems like we’re going to be in this situation a little longer but we should be more used to the Old Trafford pitch than other pitches. “So hopefully Sunday we’ll start. “It’s a massive game for us, we know that, we’ve been waiting years to get this game on and we’ll be ready for it.”
