Kym tells lockdown holiday stars: ‘Wish you weren’t there’

-

KYM Marsh has slammed social media stars enjoying holidays abroad during lockdown.

The former Coronation Street star believes borders should be closed, saying ‘every man and his dog’ appears to be in Dubai.

The actress says people’s trips don’t “look particularly socially distanced” while speaking out in her latest column for OK! magazine.

Kym, 44, said: “Lots of influencers seem to be going abroad.

“If you’ve got to travel for work then fair enough, but I personally would be putting off that trip and staying at home.

“From what I can see from the pictures of people in Dubai, every man and his dog is there and it doesn’t look particularly socially distanced!”

She continued: “It looked like lockdown and coronavirus wasn’t happening and I can see it would be easy to forget about social distancing.

“You could pick it up and then bring it back. I think we should just shut the borders and none of us travel anywhere.”

Kym, who played Michelle Connor in Corrie, says she turned down a trip abroad before the nation entered a third lockdown because it felt ‘too scary”’ to travel.

“Why are we risking going away somewhere?” she asked.

She said her parents have been “very low and fed up” as they’ve now had to go back to shielding.

“Dad is terrified, he’s just waiting for his vaccine as he’s on the vulnerable list,” she penned.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward recently defended her trip to Dubai with co-star Nicole Sealey.

Some Instagram followers were upset after entrepreneur Dawn shared a photo of the friends in the United Arab Emirates as they spent time together after Christmas with their husbands Ashley Ward and Joe Sealey and Dawn and Ashley’s two youngest daughters. The group flew out to Dubai on December 29 when Cheshire was in Tier 3.
