CITY RATED KYLE WALKER
EDERSON
Nothing he could do for the Wolves goal and didn’t have much to do aside from that. Confident in possession. Began to get forward and influence the game as City chased a winner and provided the cross for Jesus’ first goal.
RUBEN DIAS
Outmuscled by Coady for the equaliser, but had defended well against Traore and produced fine late interception.
AYMERIC LAPORTE
Unfortunate to have a goal ruled out. Carried the ball forward well in the first half when Wolves defended deep.
JOAO CANCELO
Played as a left-winger at times and almost created a goal for Sterling, but influence waned as the game went on.
RODRI
Excellent pass in the build-up to City’s opener and use of the ball was good, but gave away foul that led to the equaliser.
KEVIN DE BRUYNE
One misplaced pass had Guardiola throwing his arms up in disgust. Some fine moments but still a little below his best.
BERNARDO SILVA
Superb with the ball but best moments came out of possession. An incredible workrate.
RAHEEM STERLING
Came close with two good second-half efforts and probably had enough chances to have got on the scoresheet.
RIYAD MAHREZ
Created the first goal with a wonderful first touch and was constant threat for City and added a late goal.
GABRIEL JESUS
Fired home City’s goal to make it 2-1. Had missed some good chances before then but bagged another late on.
