Coronavirus has hit more than 100 schools since reopening day
MORE than 100 of the region’s schools have reported having Covid cases since they reopened in full earlier this month.
Secondaries and primaries are being affected across Greater Manchester, with some sending home small bubbles to isolate and others full year groups.
While many schools are being transparent about their cases and disclosing details to all parents, some are only informing the parents of those identified as close contacts, a decision angering some families.
We’ve been keeping track of isolations across the region, but with schools and councils not releasing the information - with the exception of Wigan Council - once again we’re largely reliant on parents keeping us informed.
The true figure is therefore expected to be much higher.
